In June 2025, NCMEC provided comments as part of a public consultation on guidelines for the protection of minors under Article 28 of the European Union’s Digital Services Act. NCMEC’s contributions focused on sections related to age assurance, default settings for minors’ online accounts, content moderation in generative AI services, and tools for guardians.
